This is our second year of summer service at FFT. We have a wonderful group of volunteers providing this service. We were able to offer both delivery and pick up service this summer. Food For Thought is able to provide these families with enough food to prepare at least two meals per week.
We will also have another back to school food drive and backpack collection. We will run the drive for the entire month of August. Drop off locations will be provided by the last week of July.
Our board is spending the summer working on organization for the upcoming school year. As we enter this new school year we have goals of reaching both middle and high school students by 2013.
As the new school year approaches we will also hold a new volunteer orientation. We will look for at least 25 new volunteers to help support our growing program. We will need help with everything from packing bags to fundraising.
